When will InDesign CS7 be released?
As we learned on May 6, 2013, Adobe has decided to re-brand their Creative Suite product line with will now be called “CC” (aka Creative Cloud). So what does this mean for you? Going forward, there will no longer be updates to the traditional boxed versions that you can buy in full or upgrade versions… no CS7! To get the latest and greatest Adobe products, you will need to pay a monthly subscription to the Creative Cloud offering which is available in individual apps or the entire suite of applications. For some, this is a great deal as you don’t need to pay so much upfront and can cancel your plan (on most plans) when you don’t need it. However, if you’ve traditionally been skipping versions between releases, then the Creative Cloud subscription will cost you more (in some cases, MUCH more) over time.
