When will Adobe release Illustrator CS7?

Updated May 6, 2013:  Rumors had it correct, Adobe has confirmed at their MAX conference this morning that they will no longer be updating their traditional, perpetual licensed products. This means that there will not be a CS7 release that you can upgrade to, but rather, all updates, and now the latest features are ONLY available in the Creative Cloud subscription offering (which costs from $19.99 to $74.99 per month).  With Creative Cloud, you always have the latest version and never need to pay for upgrades.  However, you need to pay monthly to keep your plan up to date and if you decide to stop paying you will lose all access to your Adobe software.  Illustrator CS6 and the rest of the Creative Suite line will only be supported with bug fixes.  They are still on sale at resellers until supplies last – Purchasing or upgrading to CS6 your last chance to stay off the subscription plan.  Learn more about the news at The Next Web.
